Python Job: Sr. Front End Developer in Sydney or Remote

Looking for a Senior Front-End or Full-Stack Developer with a passion for design and React.js. If you have 3D modeling and/or JS bundling/building, and/or Three.js, and E2E testing experience, you will most likely be the one we are looking for!

About the Role
The Giraffe app sits right at the center of urban systems. We are looking for technologists who love software, 3D design, or mathematics and are excited by our mission to help build better cities. The role is to help us take the application to the next level in terms of UI, performance, and features.

You will learn about why buildings and cities are built the way they are - and your work will build towards decarbonization, transport optimization, and more democratic city building.

Depending on your strengths and preferences you’ll be building interfaces, frameworks, or generative design algorithms. You’ll be given plenty of freedom to explore and innovate. Our stack is mostly JavaScript, with a smattering of Python, Postgres, and Google Cloud.

We are a small team and we need someone who will work with a high degree of autonomy. To be successful, you will need to quickly gain a high level of ownership and responsibility for your part of the product.

Being able to work collaboratively and creatively with the rest of the team is a must.

We are much more interested in the initiative, curiosity, and a deeper knowledge of computing/mathematics than experience with particular technologies. Remuneration will be based on your ability to demonstrate this as well as on your track record.
Experience in any of the following areas would be highly regarded:

• React.js
• JavaScript bundling/building expertise. Experience with any of Vite.js / Webpack / Rollup
• Multiplayer state management (Liveblocks / Replicache / Automerge / Websockets)
• QA, E2E testing
• Leading or managing a team
